Bridge4moneyINTRODUCTIONBridge4Money, the premium online money bridge club, is led by David Gold, a professional bridge player and an anchor member of the England Bridge Team. He is well known on the international circuit and is co-owner of the St John's Wood Bridge Club, a prestigious and long standing money club in the heart of London, England. All our technical aspects have been developed by The International Online Bridge Club who have been operating HYPERLINK "http://www.bridgeclublive.com" \t "_blank" Bridge Club Live since 1994 and have over 12 years experience of providing online bridge. Over 3 years in development, we launched on 25th November 2006. The website boasts being the only online bridge site where you can play for real money with NO BOTS! The customer service is exceptional with personal responses on all matters, including bidding advice. Crashed hands are arbitrated efficiently by or under the direction of David Gold. Our site has an effective anti-cheating system which is achieved by our ‘hand by hand’ style of interface. The bridge is played in an attractive and clear Full Java interface (adjustable to personal preferences) which operates across all operating systems including UNIX and Linux with modern browsers. The servers are regularly administrated so that we can help you find games quickly at the stakes you wish. Style of Bridge After each hand you will be pitched against new opponents and a new partner. There are no bots! In order for you to judge how to bid with your partner there is a ‘Star Rating’ system (explained below). We use one popular natural bidding system for all which is fully available is a pop-up during bidding. ‘Star Rating’ system The star rating system gives you, at a glance, a quick way that you can judge how to bid and play with your partner. If your partner has 1 star then they are likely not to understand more complex bidding and may not have strong card play, thus sometimes going off in some tight contracts. Having a partner with three stars will mean they will probably understand the more advanced bidding and play. Scoring Scored directly on result. Not comparison. Rubber Bridge scoring is used and Honours are scored. Rooms Currently there are a $0.25 per 100 points and a $1.00 per 100 points
rooms. There is also a practice room where you play for ‘playmoney’
to get to know the interface, which is free. Fees Membership is free! Fees are charged per hand. In the $0.25 room the fee is $0.03 per hand. In the $1.00 room the fee is $0.08 per hand. Arbitration fees for crashed hands are charged at $0.25 and $1.00 respectively to the player responsible for the crash. These can be appealed if you feel that the decision is not correct. Adding Funds Bridge4money.com currently uses click2pay for members to deposit/withdraw funds from their accounts. New methods of funding are being discussed and will hopefully be possible soon. Philosophy Our philosophy is don’t be frustrated having a poor partner now and again as you will be playing twice as many hands against them! The site is suitable for experts and novices. Community Service We have an attractive and informative website with regular bulletins by David Gold featuring advice and tips on how to improve your game. Best times to play Some 1000 members are already registered. There is continuous action
found from 1300–0100 GMT (London)/0800-2000 EST (New York).
There are games at other times, however these are the times you are
most likely to get a game.
