  INTRODUCTION

Topbridge is played as an "individual" tournament against other human players for cash prizes. You don't have to search for partner or table.

Topbridge has an excellent simple bidding system that must be understood and played by ALL participants WITHOUT variation. The system is based on a five card Major, better Minor, and a 15-17 point No Trump, with weak two's and jump overcalls, and RKC Blackwood. Even those not used to the system should easily adapt to this straightforward Natural system, and they may discover new skills pleasures! Carding methods are simple and easy to follow.

As neither your Partner or the opponents are known to you prior to playing a hand, it is not necessary to have a tedious dialogue with partner (who in any case changes nearly every hand) before the commencement of playing. You know what system Partner and opponents play - the same as you!

No post mortems, apologies, opponents gloating, and nor is necessary to be a fast computer keyboard typist or understand all the little net-freaks symbols.

Just after the tournament period is over, the results are available on Topbridge's web-pages. Here you can see the bid and play from every table. A great way to improve your bidding and playing skills. In the latest version of Topbridge you can also replay interesting boards played by the other players!

Topbridge is currently available with English as default language. In addition the bridge program and the Topbridge Convention Card is available in French, Dutch and Italian.
