BC 't Begijntje
- Our 20th anniversary seemed to be a good reason to put a website
on the internet. For the moment being it's only in dutch. BC 't
Begijntje started back in 1979 and recently the internet became
very important for our club because some members (the whole first
team and some youngsters) found their way to OKbridge. 't Begijntje
is the oldest existing bridge club in Leuven, Belgium's most important
university city. On our site people can find some bridgelinks and
some news on our teams and on our bridge marathon (84 boards) which
takes place every year on december 26th. In the future we are planning
to publicize our bidding system (based on acol with nt 12-14 and

Bridge Great Britain
launces its new website. Bridge Great Britain was formed following
the devolution of the British Bridge League into its individual
unions at the end of 1999. At that time, the English, Scottish and
Welsh Bridge Unions won the right to have teams representing them
in European and World events, instead of playing as Great Britain.
However, should bridge be represented in the Olympic Arena, it will
be necessary for the countries to join together again and participate
as Great Britain, since this is the body recognised by the International
Olympic Committee. (February 26, 2003)

launces its new website. Bridge Great Britain was formed following
the devolution of the British Bridge League into its individual
unions at the end of 1999. At that time, the English, Scottish and
Welsh Bridge Unions won the right to have teams representing them
in European and World events, instead of playing as Great Britain.
However, should bridge be represented in the Olympic Arena, it will
be necessary for the countries to join together again and participate
as Great Britain, since this is the body recognised by the International
