Canada - e-bridge loses Content Editors. In
Volume 38 Oct 25 2001 of the E-Bridge E-Zine, we find the following
message from Canadians Eric Kokish and Beverly Kraft. "Au
revoir, We are sad to announce that our contract with e-bridge
has come to an end. We will miss our many new friends. Our deepest
thanks to all our contributors for the excellent material that
they have provided. You made our job fun and easy. Anyone wishing
to submit articles for publication, please contact Zeus."
Eric and Bev were responsible for most of the content found on
the e-bridge site including interviews, biographies, and a massive
amount of instructional material all of which can still be found
on the e-bridge pages.

English international, married Barbara Stawowy of the German Ladies

located at Figueira da Foz, near Coimbra, in Portugal, is organizing
its 9th Festival, 24-25 (teams) and 26-28 (pairs) October 2001.

Argentina
- Everyone's talking about the 14 year old Agustin Madala of Argentina,
a member of the Argentine team that won the South American Championship
in Cochabamba Bolivia recently making him the youngest Zonal champion
in the history of world bridge. Madala will represent Argentina
in the Bermuda Bowl in Bali Indonesia this October and will be
the youngest player ever to compete in this event!
Australia - Jessel Rothfield
won the Australian Autumn National Open Teams 2001 at age 83 but
believe it or not this is not a world record for a national teams
event. Boris Schapiro won the Gold Cup, the British teams championship,
at age 89.
